I immediately suspected that there was a boy involved because she never mentioned this as an interest before. However, I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and we went to purchase her some binoculars. She decided on a pair of Compact Binoculars that offered both zoom and a camera so that she could take pictures of what she found. In the long run it was about a boy, but she became passionate about bird watching in the process and has found a hobby that she really loves.
