Helping a Child Succeed in Spite of Himself

We live near London, the city of the educated it would seem, if you study history. We have marvellous colleges and universities for those who want to further their education beyond high school. We would just like to get our son through high school without worrying about soaring beyond. He is stubborn and somewhat difficult to deal with, and I think his teachers have given up on him. But we, his parents, have not given up. We have found a tutor with the same mindset. He is determined to help our son succeed in spite of himself. Someday I know our boy will thank us for caring so much.
