The Price oF Printer Ink

It seems that as the gas prices go up, so does milk, eggs and other basics, so why does it seem that the price of printer ink seems to increase, as well? I mean if you have a computer, you might as well have a printer, but the printer just doesn’t work if you are low or out of ink, altogether. It can be a real pain in the butt if you need to print a work report or school paper, and your pages are blurry or only half printed because the ink is low, which means another trip to the store to purchase that $50 ink cartridge. It is rather ridiculous.
