I have heard a lot of best man speeches and I always respect a sentimental speech. Best man speeches made this way are constructed to be very emotional and probably produce a few tears in the audience. My own best man speech was written with a lot of fond memories of growing up with the Groom, stuff we did when we were young. I used a lot of one liners with my detailed anecdotes so everyone was laughing and feeling happy for the marriage. Nice best man speeches also compliment the Bride, because it is her day as much as the Groom’s, don’t forget that.
