Colored cufflinks vs. plain ones

Some people don’t like wearing colored cufflinks, as they found these too tacky and loud. They prefer plain, reliable cuff accessories, usually in a black and white combination or metallic ones. I think these people are missing opportunities to show their stylishness in adhering to this narrow mindset.

A red, yellow or neon green colored cufflink is not necessarily gaudy by itself. It is how the wearer combines these brightly colored cufflinks that makes one’s attire a dapper one or a fashion disaster. And it doesn’t necessarily require that one must have a matching clothing and/or accessory to look good: even without any add-ons, a bright red cufflink looks good on a dark suit.
