When buying Sheet Sets and important feature to look for is thread count. What exactly is thread count. Well it’s the amount of threads that are in a single square inch of a sheet. Why does this matter? Well, it matters because the higher the count the smoother the sheet feels, and in turn it also feels softer. This is especially true of Egyptian cotton sheets. Most sheets you buy from a local department store will be 150 count. This is acceptable, but is no where near the pinnacle of sheet counts. To truly feel comfortable you’ll need sheets that are 400 count. However some of the best sheets in the world reach 1500 count. So keep that in mind next time you’re looking to buy a set of sheets.
