The truth about the Wisconsin Tourist Guide

I want to know if the Wisconsin Tourist Guide actually has the best places in the state or if it just has the places that make the most money. It could be that only the places listed are the ones that have paid a fee to be listed. I doubt that is the case but one never knows without doing a little research. I want to know if this is the best guide to show me what I want to know, what I want to see, and what I want to do. If there is something like a website that would do a better job, I’ll just go there.
