Free or paid? Jewish dating services offer both systems

It is not a surprise to me that Jewish dating services are popular. There has been an explosion of online dating sites and they obviously meet a need and provide a service in a medium that young single Jewish people are comfortable with. There are two types of Jewish dating sites. Ones you pay for and others that are free. Obviously the price is right at ‘free’. But you need to be careful with these sites. Unless they are highly localized you could be courting (no pun intended) danger. What is stop a Jewish single with bad motives signing up at free dating sites and abusing the privilege? Better quality people will not mind paying a small monthly fee to meet other Jewish singles online and see if a relationship will come from it.
