Car Shipping newbie
April 29th, 2008 by admin
I’ve been wanting to have my Mother’s car shipped from Wisconsin to Arizona for her in the winter month so that she can fly instead of making the three day drive. She is 80 years old now and would be easier on her. When I looked into having this done I was surprised to learn of all the variables. The Car Shipping company wanted to know if i wanted an enclosed trailer or open trailer? What is the difference I had to ask? Where in Wisconsin is the car to be pick-up? And where in Arizona is the car to be delivered? If either the pick-up or drop off are off the beaten path, meaning the major eastwest free system, it’s going to take longer and cost more money. When do you exspect this to be done? The more time frame the cheaper the car shipping will be. How do I know if the vendor can be trusted? Are they bonded, and insured? Am I talking to the company that actually is going to move the car or is this some Internet car jockey that takes a cut off the price and I never hear from him again? I guess I have a lot to learn about car shipping. Now where is that google search tool on this computer?
