Be Smart When Buying Jewelry Making Supplies
November 25th, 2008 by admin
When you’re starting out in the bead jewelry making business you know that you need to initially invest in a number of different tools including pliers, a beadboard, wire cutters and lots and lots of beads and supplies. But you don’t have to spend a lot of money on those supplies if you’re smart and take a few minutes to plan out your purchases.
The key to buying cheap bead making supplies is to do your homework and find the best price for the tools you really need. Don’t go out and buy a dozen different sets of pliers or cutters or elaborate soldering tools if you’re not ready for that yet. You’re going to need to improve your jewelry making skills over time, so you’ll want to buy your tools as you need them, not all at once.
You can do the same thing with your supplies initially: buy enough beads and wires to make two or three pieces and make sure you like the procress of making jewelry before you make an initial investment. Hopefully you’ll love your new jewelry making hobby and will start selling pieces and making enough of a profit to grow your hobby into a business!
